To Velcro or Not to Velcro

There are so many humerous stories about the bridal party, but this is one of our favorites.

The couple had planned a beautiful Traditional Ceremony Wedding. The bride was escorted to the Chapel by a horse-drawn carriage, the groom by limoisine. They had a large bridal party of 10 couples including the best man and maid-of-honor. The bridesmaids were dressed in beautiful gowns that complimented each of them.

The brides gown was georgeous, it looked like it was covered in crystals with a long flowing train and veil. During the ceremony the bride turned and headed to the statue of the Virgin Mary to ask for help during her marriage.

As she walked down the isle, her maid-of-honor quickly grabbed her veil and train, but due to the amount of material she accidently stepped on the brides train. Nobody knew the train was attached by velcro - well not until that moment. The mood was very solemn, and the only sound was the choir singing Ave Maria. Then all of a sudden you hear the velcro ripping apart. All of the guests started to laugh.

The funniest part of the situation was the fact that the bride was so focused on heading to the Virgin Mary, that she didn't hear the velcro sound, what she did hear was her guests laughing. She stopped and sharply turned to see what was happening with a confused look. Then she saw the Maid-of-Honor rushing toward her with the train in hand to re-attach it to her. She then smiled and you could actually see her face blush.

Once the train was attached, the bride gave everybody a smile and continued on her way.

Words of Wisdom: If you want to turn your wedding gown into an evening gown for your reception without having to bustle the train, velcro may not be the best choice.
